Osteo-FX and Inflam-FX: 1 year later. A case study.

Posted on April 1, 2019 by Dr. G

When everyone thinks you are crazy, you may be onto something.  Several years ago my mother had a bone density test that revealed a dramatic change for the worse.  She went from being at the border of osteopenia and osteoporosis. After doing some research, I was able to put together a series of supplements that my mother could take to halt the progression of her osteoporosis and possibly reverse it.  We were successful and this prompted the creation of 2 products when used together, make up the formulation we had used. I outlined what happened in an article I had written for my clinical website.

I had concerns for my mother because I am well aware of the shortcomings of the available prescription medications for osteoporosis and their potential side effects.  I was also frustrated because I know there is so much one can do to improve bone density naturally.

We had formulated the two products from Cyrene Labs, Inflam-FX and Osteo-FX.  Where calcium was not included as a part of our solution to osteoporosis.  Inflam-FX and Osteo-FX were meant to replace the many supplement bottles that we had to get our patients to buy and organize.  A simple scoop of each into a small glass of water was all that was required.

Betsy denies medical standard of care:

One year ago, one of my patients, 86 year old female named Betsy, who had been actively pursuing the best lifestyle, diet and supplements she could get over many years.  Her only health concern was related to her worsening bone density over the past 16 years. She had been getting bone density testing done at the same facility the entire time.  After her last bone density test revealed that her numbers had progressed deeper into the realm of osteoporosis she was given her options for medication and was told there were no other options.  She denied the recommendations of her endocrinologist at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC for medication and instead decided to go with a natural non pharmaceutical option.

Betsy also denies ‘nutritional’ standard of care:

When Betsy presented to the office to discuss her options for lifestyle change and nutritional therapy we discussed everything she is already doing and had been doing for quite some time and decided no lifestyle changes were necessary.  Betsy was already exercising, eating well and taking nutritional supplements based on her blood chemistry status. Instead we focused in on just the issue of bone density. Betsy had also been dairy free and her only source of supplemental calcium was 100mg as part of a different supplement she has been taking.  100 mg is far short of the 1000mg recommended by most medically oriented nutritionists and dietitians. Supplementation of as low as 600mg has been shown to result in complications related to calcium being deposited in joints, blood vessels and even brain circulation.

A careful analysis of Betsy’s diet revealed her intake of seafood, healthy meats and vegetables was more than adequate for her daily calcium needs.  Dairy was not necessary for her to take.

Based on the research:

We decided that this problem needed a solution that addressed all of the factors that drive osteoporosis.  They include,

Osteo-FX and Inflam-FX together provide dense nutrition in the forms and quantities that are required to make a difference. Betsy had followed our directions for exactly one year:

1 daily dose of both Osteo-FX and Inflam-FX for 3 months followed by one dose of each product every other day for the following 9 months.

The direct quote from her 2019 bone density report was “there has been a significant increase in bone mineral density at L1-L4 since her previous study.” Her previous 4 studies dating back to 2001each showed worsening bone density.  This report after just one year not only showed that it stopped getting worse, but rather it started heading in the other direction, toward increased bone density.

Betsy’s T scores in 2019 had gone from -2.2 to -2.0 in the past year since taking inflam-FX and Osteo-FX.  A +2.5%  change from previous test.

Betsys scores prior to 2019, before taking inflam-FX and Osteo-FX, had revealed:

We are very excited to see that Betsy’s last health concerned was being successfully addressed and that her decision to go against medical advice was the right one.  At the time of the writing of this post, Betsy is scheduled this week to discuss her findings with the physician at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC who had recommended medication one year prior.  We look forward to sharing her experience with you.
